BIO
Tut started all 5 years at point guard for the York Lions including the last 3 as the team’s captain. He lead the team to an OUA East championship and an appearance at the CIS final tournament. Tut set the 2nd all time on the York lions scoring list, 1635 points, and 6th all time in the OUA. Over the years Tut has played many American D1 schools and beaten them resulting in some of Tut’s better performances: 26 points, 5 assists against Morehead State, including the game winner. 31 points, 7 assists against Lake superior State. 15 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists against Middle Tennessee State. All these games were York victories. Tut set a York Lion record for points in a half at the University of Toronto with 31 points in the second half. Tut finished no lower than 6th in the OUA in points, assists, steals, and ft% in 3 over the course of his 5 years.
Tut’s strengths as a point guard are his ability to be a playmaker, whether that be for himself or creating for others. He can either score or be a facilitator depending on what the situation calls for. At 6’2’ he has good length, and very good athleticism for a point guard, 35” vertical and a 4.5second 40 yard dash. He excels in the open court as it allows him to utilize his speed. In the half court he is a very good at reading screens and making quick decisions. He is also a good defender with the ability to keep his man in front of him and out of the paint. He has a good work ethic and he is very coachable.
