DAN EVES

York University

6'7" 225 pounds 82.5" armspan

I play both the 3 and 4 positions. Over the course of my 5 year career at York I was a 2 time All-Canadian.  Our team at York U. was often ranked in the top 10 nationally and participated in the Canadian Championships twice during my career.  We competed against numerous NCAA schools during my career and had some great success. I am also the schools all time leading scorer and second all time leading 3 point fg scorer (regular season OUA games).

Stats/info. can be found at the OUA website and the Basketball Eye website : http://oua..ca/sports/mbasketball/.

Coach's Comments
Dan can play both the 3 and the 4 position. He's one of the most coachable, hardest working players you could ever see. He puts in a total effort in every practice The same work ethic and intensity that he showed in practice also was evident in every game. In short, Dan is a competitor. He's a leader by example because of his quiet nature. He's a long range shooter. His ability to hit the 3 is his best asset and he is able to get this shot off against players of all sizes because of his quick release and his slight fade away as he releases. He can catch and shoot the long 3 off the break and in traffic. He's a clutch player. His confidence and mental toughness to take the last shot (or any shot) is excellent. Although he is a great shooter, he will pass the ball to an open teammate if the teammate is in a better position. Dan is also able to post-up smaller opponents. He can also be an excellent rebounder both offensively and defensively. He is strong and has long arms. He likes the physical aspect of the game. Dan runs the court very well but his first step quickness is average. Defensively he uses his size and intelligence to guard smaller, quicker players on the perimeter and his strength, positioning and long reach to defend bigger post players.
